Euribor panel update

Brussels, 27 May 2026, 17:45 CET – The European Money Markets Institute (EMMI) and KBC Bank today announce the inclusion of KBC Bank in the Euribor panel. This follows the completion of the relevant assessments and onboarding procedures.

KBC Bank is expected to start contributing input data to Euribor on 1 June 2026.
“This development takes place as part of the regular evolution of the Euribor panel, reflecting the underlying market activity. Panel composition naturally evolves over time, supporting the continued robustness and representativeness of the benchmark.”

- Jean-Louis Schirmann, CEO of EMMI

KBC Bank, a leading European bank with a strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe and active across euro-denominated money markets, contributes to the continued evolution of the panel’s representativeness.

This onboarding also reflects the robustness and maturity of Euribor’s methodology, which is firmly anchored in observable market data and operates within a clear and well-controlled governance framework.

Recent methodological refinements have introduced more clearly defined conditions for contributions, reducing the operational burden on panel banks.

“We are pleased to be included in the Euribor panel. As a bank-insurer with a strong presence in the euro zone - most notably in Belgium, Bulgaria and the Slovak Republic - we value the role of Euribor in well-functioning financial markets and consider it important to contribute to it.”

- Rik Janssen, Group Treasurer, KBC Group

Euribor continues to operate smoothly, under a well-established framework designed to ensure stability, continuity, and resilience over time.

The panel brings together a broad range of contributing banks, ensuring extensive coverage of the underlying market through data and reflecting a high degree of geographic diversity as well as a wide variety of business models.
